This is an exciting opportunity in Nashville, TN for a Learning and Development Senior Specialist. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
  • Leads thedelivery of one or more talent management processes or initiatives within anorganization, function or geographic location in alignment with the company’scommon global talent management strategies, policies and processes.
  • Responsiblefor the deployment of one or more talent processes which may include talentplanning, acquisition, development and assessment; competency and skillmanagement; or employee engagement, on boarding and retention.
  • Participateson cross-organizational projects teams to design, improve and implementeffective talent management processes; may lead specified initiatives.
  • Uses keyperformance indicators to conduct analyses of current and proposed talentmanagement initiatives and processes; prepares recommended solutions and analyzesconclusions for management review.
  • Collaborateswith human resources and talent leaders to ensure talent processes meet thecurrent and future needs of the function and organization; provides input toglobal talent management teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coaches humanresource resources on talent management processes.
  • Builds andmaintains effective partnerships with business, functional, regional andcorporate Human Resources organizations.
  • May coach andmentor less experienced talent management specialists.

  • Change Management - Applies the Cummins structured process and tool set for engaging individuals and organizations through change to achieve and sustain business results and outcomes.
  • Organizational Development and Effectiveness Consultation - Assess organizational performance strengths and gaps by conducting comprehensive assessments, interpreting data and engaging leaders to improve employee engagement and organizational effectiveness; recommends intervention(s) aligned with Cummins HR approach to influence course corrections and evaluates the results.
  • Human Resources Consulting - Collaborates with business leaders in applying business and Human Resources functional knowledge to interpret the business environment,identifies and prioritizes current and future problems requiring solutions; structures clear problem statements, breaking down issues into smaller, meaningful and manageable components that when addressed, provide a holistic solution.
  • Human Resources Business Process Execution - Manages the execution of Human Resources business processes, seeking efficiency, accuracy, positive business performance outcomes and operational agility; integrates activities across processes as needed; assures compliance with process and legal requirements; effectively balances process requirements and business leader needs.
  • Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Global perspective - Taking a broad view when approaching issues, using a global lens.

  • Implement centralized services in the areas of learning administration, eLearning development (specifically with Articulate Storyline), and learning evaluation as defined by Global Learning and Development
  • Implement new Talent Management programs as defined by Corporate Strategy
  • Work with corporate strategy leaders, subject matter experts, customers and regional partners to develop best practices and maintain service quality
  • Management of system implementations, enhancements and upgrades for service delivery technology; which include monitoring and evaluating system changes for possible impact to programs and other global processes.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality implementation and strict adherence to timelines on all projects while ensuring cost effectiveness. Execute against master service agreement (SLA)- monitor key performance indicators and service levels.
Experience
Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
