To meet the needs of the communities in which we serve by creating
opportunities for clients to enhance their lives through workforce
development training, job placement and job retention services.
Conduct
employability skills training, basic computer classes, and case
management when appropriate.
Process in-coming and returning customers
to obtain statistical information. Maintain statistical information for
region to ensure our numbers reflect our services and for reporting
purposes on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Provide information
about services we offer. Make appropriate referrals to available
services, resources, and opportunities. Coordinate with Placement
Service Coordinator to organize and conduct hiring events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Gathers and maintains statistical regional WFD information.
Assisting businesses with pre-screening applicants for positions by reviewing applications, conducting interviews/references, or scheduling interviews.
Coaching participants on job search, interview skills, etc.
Creating and maintaining participant/prospective participant files.
Developing individual goals and employment/activity plans with participant, applying information from previous assessments, case notes, etc.
Entering information into Goodwill database Efforts to Outcomes (ETO).
Facilitating online assessments and assisting participants with other assessment tools.
Following up with participants and/or work sites following employment placement.
Orientations/Tour.
Performing data entry of participant/prospective participant information.
Working in Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare reports as required, which may include: goal sheets, participant progress reports, and other reports.
Working in Microsoft Word/other programs as needed to create instruction materials, graduation materials, presentation information, etc.
Arranging/Scheduling non-Goodwill and / or Goodwill facilitators to instruct participants.
Coordinating on-site employer job fairs as appropriate.
Coordinating presenters from outside agencies and businesses to provide job, health, finance and other related information to participants.
Making business to business contacts by telephone, email, mail, in person, and in group networking settings to form partnerships which result in work sites, documenting business contacts.
Assisting with Business Advisory Councils to include mailings, phone calls, preparing materials, etc.

Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience in job readiness counseling/instruction preferred. Customer service experience helpful. Strong internet, Microsoft Word, Outlook skills required. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills. Occasional use of company vehicles or personal vehicle; valid SC driver’s license, insurance, safety inspection required. May require annual MVR check.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors or Associates in related field (Human Services/Social Work) strongly preferred.
Physical Demands
Work is not physically strenuous and is primarily sedentary. May require typing, walking, standing, bending, and light lifting of items such as paper/books.
Work Environment
The noise level is usually moderate. Employee works in an office environment.
